Writting One

Everyone has a story to tell; it is either about their life or someone else’s life. My Story begins on November 26, 1990 when a little girl was born. She weighed around 7lbs and a few ounces. And her name was Ana Maria Saavedra. She had an older sister named Brenda and an older brother named Lazaro Jr. Her mother’s name was Anita and her dad’s name was Lazaro. She was a nice brilliant little girl who loved her life and lived in Athens, Ga. She lived in a mobile home place named “Pinewood.”

In 1993 she and her dad went to the store named Publix. She was very happy that her dad had just bought her some candies. When they were on the way home they had a very bad car accident where she fainted. All she remembers is listening to her favorite song and then going pitch black. She remembers waking up when a nice lady police officer asked if she was ok. Apparently the person who hit their car had told the officer that he was depressed and didn’t know what he was doing. Her mother and sister were called to come pick them up. Her mother at the time was making tamales, a Mexican dish.

In 1994, when she was 3, a little boy was born with the name of Eric Joshua. She was very happy and loved her little brother. The only problem was that since she was so little she always seemed to drop him. Thank God no damage was done to the child. Her little brother was born on August 30th. During this time she met her 1st best friend named Patty Alejandro. Patty lived in the same neighborhood about three houses up. They both started going to Head Start (Pre-K) in 1995. Also during this time her cousin named Jose had just came from Mexico. They were like best friends except for Jose got on her nerves because he didn’t want to go to school unless she was in his class. She would be in her class and he would be screaming and crying for her to come to his class all the time.

In 1996 they moved to another home in the same neighborhood. She also recalled a huge hole that the home had in the living room. Her dad worked so hard to fix it. She remembers that it was a two bed room house and her parents slept in the living room. Ana doesn’t remember what year but she remembers that during this time her mother had gotten really sick because of her diabetes. She remembers running to get her Aunt Francisca because she was really scared that her mother had fainted.

In 1999, her mother had worked really hard to get them a new home. She worked day and night till she got the money and bought a new house. They went to look for a property in Clarke County to buy and they found one. They would have to pay $250.00 a month for 15 years!!!

In 2000, they got their new home!! The house had just been made. They moved in on March 17, 2000. She remembers that they had nothing at first. All they had brought that night was her bed. Later on they brought the rest of the stuff to the house. They had some complications at first because of the schools. They didn’t want to go to school in Clarke County, so their mother sent them back to Oconee to go to school. They switched back and fourth like 3 times until they finally stayed in Clarke County. She started going to Fowler Drive Elementary.

In 2005 she was going to High School. The name of her school was Cedar Shoals. Since she had so much going on at home, she didn’t want to go so she would skip class. She was skipping so much school that she decided to not go back. A case worker name Dawn took her to court and put her on probation for skipping school. Ana decided to go back to school.

In December 2006, she found out she was pregnant with a child. That is when she dropped out of school because she didn’t want any body to make fun of her because she was a teen mother. On August 3, 2007 her little girl named Marixa was born.
On April 2008, she finds out that she is pregnant again. She was 2 months pregnant with a little boy. In August 2008, she tried to go back to school to get her diploma. She was going to Classic City High until she had to drop out because she almost lost her baby. On December 27, 2008 her son with the name of Christopher was born!

She is currently a single mother of 2 and attending school at Classic City High. After all the stress and problems she is still trying to fight her way to her diploma!

Short Story Project-Theme

The Miracle Worker

The subject of this story is the blind and deaf. In the first part of the story, it is about a little girl named Helen that almost dies. She lives but with the consequence of being deaf and blind. The parents take her to a lot doctors but everyone say there is nothing they can do. So they finally decide to contact a specialist in Boston who sends a young woman who was once blind and has a history, too. Helen being bad educated treats her with disrespect and locks her up. I think that in this part of the story the author is trying to let you know what the main idea of the story is and how deaf people suffer a lot.

In the second part of the story the author is talking about how a child gets disciplined to learn to be respectful. In this section the teacher, "Annie", teaches Helen how to be respectful and learn her manners. Annie struggles a lot with her but soon gets Helen to learn manners. I think that Helen was a very bad child and the parents should have taught her better than that. I think that Annie does a great job in disciplining her the way she did. The little girl really deserved it. Also because it helped Helen learn something good.

I think the third part of the story is what i loved the most. The purpose for that is because Annie has taught Helen manners and how to talk and understand. Helen has taught Annie how to love again after her tragic past. I enjoyed the ending because the author is trying to show that love means a million things. That with patience and love you can accomplish what you want. This author did a good job on this story. I really enjoyed it.

Favorite Movie: The Crying Child

Subject: There is a child haunting a house because he was brutally killed in it. ( no love)

Theme: Always love a child, don't mistreat it; they are angels.

This movie has suspense, mystery, and horror. The author in this movie is trying to keep you entertained by adding so much suspense. If you hear a crying child, your going to go see where it is. This movie is about a family that goes to their ancestral vacation home and not know that a child has been killed there. So they start hearing children cry and get haunted, specially the mother.
